Chopta (Chamoli) , Uttarakhand


Chopta is a very beautiful village situated in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. It comes under the tehsil Tharali. It has around 122 households with a total population of around 564 people. It has around 273 males and 291 females with a sex ratio of 1066 (females per 1000 males).

Parkhal (Chamoli)


Parkhal is a very beautiful village situated in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. It comes under the tehsil Tharali. It has around 21 households with a total population of around 77 people. It has around 30 males and 47 females with a sex ratio of 1567 (females per 1000 males).

The village has a male literacy rate of 61.90% and a female literacy rate of 52.5% accounting to a overall literacy rate of 55.73%. The nearest marketplace to the village is Narayanbagarh. Public transportation is available up to Narayanbaragh and from here one can take private taxis up to the village.

With the advent of the road to up to the village the village is developing into a mini marketplace for the surrounding areas.

Pali Malli is a very beautiful village situated in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. It comes under the tehsil Tharali. It has around 21 households with a total population of around 100.

    Siri (Chamoli), Uttarakhand

                              SIRI (CHAMOLI)


    Siri is a very beautiful village situated in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. It comes under the tehsil Karanprayag. It has around 60 households as per Census of 2011 but most of the familes are living out of the village in some big cities and only around 30 households are there in the village.

      Nearest market place to the village is Narayanbaragh. Public transportation is also available upto Narayanbagarh. From here one can take taxi to reach the village. There are some small shops in the village also from where one can get goods of daily use.

      There is no school in siri village and one has to go to school paitoli for schooling which is adjacent to the village. The school is upto 12th standard.

      From here also goes the way to Kushdeo which is a very famous pilgrim of the area. Kushdeo is a temple of Lord Shiva long with Luv and Kush. It is around 13 Kms walk from Siri village and has a splendid scenic beauty in the way.

      Kaub is a very beautiful area situated in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. It is a cluster of around 6 small villages with a strength of more around 242 families. The villages which are included in Kaub are :

      There are some small shops available in the village from where one can get goods of daily use.

      There are 2 schools in the village one of which impart education up to 8th standard and another upto 10th Standard. After that if one wants to study then he/she has to go the school at Narainbagarh. It is a very long and tiring path going daily up and down but the students do this task daily. On the way to the village you will be surrounded by panoramic views. You can see the Pindar river flowing down under.The view of Himalayas is awesome and you don't regret that you had to walk so much on foot to reach this place

      If you land in autumns then you can find oranges and maize here in plenty for you to eat.
